Mossman Gorge "Ngadiku" Dreamtime Walk

Experience the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk at Mossman Gorge. Kaku Yalanji people are the indigenous inhabitants of the Daintree Rainforest. Join an indigenous guide on this fascinating walk through the rainforest and hear the unique stories handed down through the generations about the wildlife, rainforest flora, Aboriginal history and culture.

You are welcomed with a traditional 'smoking' ceremony that cleanses and wards off bad spirits. The walk then meanders through stunning rainforest and takes in a traditional hut as your Indigenous guide demonstrates traditional plant use, identifies bush food sources and provides a fascinating narrative of the rainforest and the Kaku Yalanji people's special relationship with this unique tropical environment. A stop at 'the Beach', gives you the opportunity for a refreshing swim in this water hole, where your guide demonstrates traditions like making bush soaps and ochre painting. At the end of the tour enjoy traditional bush tea and damper.
